development, operations, sales, marketing and investor
relations. He is an experienced senior executive with
significant success in revenue generation and business
improvement. |
Mr. Kiser brings nearly 30 years of leadership in the field of technology to his role at Gray Hat Research Corporation (GHRC). In the course of his career, Mr. Kiser worked with a variety of leading companies providing hardware, software, services and consulting solutions to clients that literally span the globe. Among others, Mr. Kiser represented such formidable organizations as Data General Corporation, Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC), Altos Computer Systems, Inc., Unisys and EMC2.
In 2004, John became the Chief Executive Officer of Gray Hat Research Corporation, a nationally recognized consultancy providing thought leadership and a range of highly specialized solutions in the field of security to a wide range of clients in the public and private sectors.
Mr. Kiser majored in Business Administration at Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio. After completing his studies, he spent the early part of his career in financial services. As a student he worked as a Registered Representative at Waddell & Reed, Inc. providing financial planning services and selling a range of insurance products and securities to his clients. Soon thereafter, he joined Loeb Rhoades, Inc., a Wall Street underwriter and investment banker, where he assisted over 15 companies with their private and public financing needs.
This early exposure to the capital markets provided the critical background that allowed John to assume financial responsibility for sales and operational activities in the companies he has worked with, and to exceed the expectations of his management, board, and shareholders from the inception of his technology career. This same experience also enabled John to successfully start, manage to profitability, and sell three businesses: one software company and two boutique consulting companies.
Now in his early 50’s, John, his wife Avery and two children live in Spring, Texas, a suburb just north of Houston. He is active in church and other charitable activities and occasionally is able to lecture at a number of private and public institutions on entrepreneurship and other subjects. His leisure activities include reading, writing, golf and travel.
